Inspire Education Centre | Transforming Minds, Inspiring Excellence

Call 63453147 to inquire about our classes for English, Mathematics, Science, Literature, Social Studies, History, Geography, POA, and Economics.

Dear concerned parent

Are you worried about your child’s scores for English, Mathematics, Science, or Humanities? Many of these subjects are compulsory for entry into Junior College, polytechnic, and local universities.

Is your child feeling demoralised by low grades in a particular subject: English, Mathematics, Science, or Humanities?

Making the best effort but still not getting results?

Is your child lacking the discipline or motivation to self-study?

At Inspire Education Centre, we can assist in improving your child’s grades and help them cultivate a lifelong interest in learning. Over the last 15 years, we have helped more than 1,200 students to boost their results by 2-3 grade bands, whether in a short time frame or over a longer period of one year.

Our caring and experienced teachers will inspire your child to achieve more.

INSPIRE’s proven track record for English, Mathematics, Science,
and Humanities tuition

1) English and Humanities Tuition & Success Strategies

It is POSSIBLE to score an A grade for Humanities subjects like Social Studies. Our tutors impart critical thinking skills that enable your child to assess and discuss important ideas and concepts independently. Students who follow our methodologies and essay-writing techniques will feel more confident not just in Social Studies, History, or Geography, but for other essay-heavy subjects like English / General Paper, Literature, and Economics.

All of our 2015 students from the Combined Humanities class scored As. Based on past records, 63% – 75% of our students can achieve As, beating the national average of 28% distinctions for Combined Humanities.

“I am writing to sincerely thank you for guiding my son, Heng Sheng, through this tough O Level period. I am glad to tell you that he has scored relatively very well for both his English and Combined Humanities, and could not have done so without your help. He scored A1 for English and A2 for Combined Humanities (Social Studies).

“I have come to know that you took the time to individually mark his homework and personally give him tips on how his work could be improved on. This has aided him in his studies tremendously and is a good practice for a teacher to go beyond his time to coach students. Thank you.”

O Level Combined Humanities (Social Studies): A2

– Parent of Lee Heng Sheng, Nan Hua High School (child entered Raffles Institution)

2) Mathematics and Science Tuition & Success Strategies

Does practice make perfect for Mathematics and Science? Yes and no. Both subjects require constant practice, but it is more critical for students to have a crystal-clear understanding of scientific facts and mathematical / science concepts. Relying simply on memory work or rote practice is ineffective. What enables students to score distinctions are: the precision of answering (with minimal mistakes); appropriate presentation of Science answers and Mathematical workings; and knowing how to apply concepts to applications. These are the keys to scoring well.

Our mathematics and science tutors will offer your child tips to easily understand mathematical and scientific concepts — such as calculation shortcuts that will help them save time during tests and exams. Students are also taught how to identify and correct their errors (eg. calculation mistakes, misreading of question requirements, copying errors, using wrong decimal places and significant figures). By avoiding such mistakes, students can save plenty of marks — which can result in a significant one-grade improvement!

At INSPIRE, students are exposed to a wide variety of questions that may be tested for examinations. These include real-world practice questions that require the use of skills and concepts that they have learned. They will learn how to quickly identify different question types that require specific mathematical formulae and how to apply the right science processing skills to score well in actual examination conditions.
